Volunteers built the hall in 1926; it has been enlarged and improved from funds raised by the management committee and grants from local authorities. We enjoy support from the surrounding area of Devon/Somerset.
The hall is extensively used for educational courses, a thriving Women's Institute, fund raising for the hall, local charities and numerous other recreational uses. Attendance numbers vary according to the type of use from 10 at some educational courses up to 100 for parties. The hall is an accredited exam venue for OCR examinations and meets the requirement for CPC City & Guilds exams.
The Hall has a fully equipped kitchen, electric cooker, fridge, china and cutlery to serve approximately one hundred. The main hall has a sectional stage with a generous amount of tables and chairs to seat the halls capacity. An electric organ is also available.
Situated in a rural area with an integral car park, the hall is ideal for private parties and other functions.
Works have been carried out to improve the disabled access widening the entrance and exit doors, providing ramps and a specially equipped toilet.
